Giclée is a premium, deliberate printing technique using high-resolution inkjet printers and 12-colour pigment-based inks. The result is vivid, detailed reproductions with exceptional colour depth that are fade-resistant and comparable to original artworks, with a lifespan of over 100 years when authenticated.

CANVAS
12-colour giclee print on canvas.
With 12-colour pigment ink printers (giclée printers), the manufacturer Artimedes offers the highest possible quality. The pigment inks do not discolor because they are resistant to UV radiation. The manufacturer therefore provides a 100% colour guarantee.
A giclée print on canvas is manually coated with several layers of matte varnish. The advantage of varnishing is that it brings out the colours beautifully and provides extra protection against UV light and scratches. Thanks to the protective varnish, the top layer can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
The wooden stretcher bars together form the stretcher. The canvas is stretched by hand onto the stretcher. The stretcher bars are made of first-class finger-jointed / laminated sustainable spruce wood (PEFC certified).
On the rear inside of the stretcher bars, recesses have been made for the wooden wedges. With the wedges, the fabric can easily be re-tensioned if ever necessary. Naturally, the fabric is delivered taut and with a suspension system.

Have it professionally framed
A framed giclée on watercolour paper is glued by our manufacturer Artimedes on a self-adhesive plate, which prevents the paper from bulging. The reproduction is then expertly framed in a frame of your choice. The frames are supplied with clear float glass as standard. Acrylic glass is used for shipping abroad to prevent glass damage during transport.
DIBOND
12-colour giclee print on dibond.
Dibond - also known as Alu-Dibond - is a three-layer sandwich panel: two aluminum outer layers with a polyethylene core layer in between.
Our manufacturer Artimedes produces the giclée print on bright white paper and covers it with a wafer-thin transparent matte film layer, which provides extra protection against UV light, splashes, and dirt. The print is then professionally finished on the self-adhesive Dibond plate.
A giclée on Dibond can be delivered either loose or framed. For an loose Dibond, an aluminum U-profile is mounted on the back of the plate as a hanging profile. This has the advantage that the artwork hangs approximately 1.5 cm from the wall, making it appear as if it is floating.
We have wooden box frames especially for dibond. A suspension system is mounted at the rear of the box frame.
